NWU produces RMT topnotcher, achieves 60% passing rate
A total of six (6) Medical Laboratory Science students from Northwestern University (NWU) under the College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS) passed the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination last March 2022.
Overall, there were 2,752 takers: 1,619 were first-timers, and 1,133 were repeaters. A total of ten students from NWU took the said licensure examination. Among the six passers, one was a topnotcher. NWU accumulated a total passing rate of 60%.
The six (6) passers of NWU are:

- Pedro, Franchette Aguda, RMT
- Sebastian, Bryan Dave Tagala, RMT
- Utleg, Cindy Mae Flores, RMT (Top 7)
The 7th placer of the March 2022 Medical Technologist Licensure Examination, Cindy Mae F. Utleg, RMT, said that she actually doesn’t know what to feel aside from being happy. However, there was nothing more fulfilling for her than seeing how proud her parents were and that all of their hard work for her had paid off.
The topnotcher also added that her secrets were prayer, the consistency to study even if she doesn’t feel like to, and pushing herself in finding her drive to review even there are times she already wants to give up.
